    Road freight
Highway transportation is a mobile, flexible, simple and convenient mode of transportation. In terms of short distance cargo distribution and operation, it has greater advantages than railway and air transportation, especially in achieving "door-to-door" transportation, where its importance is more significant. Although other modes of transportation have their own characteristics and advantages, they all rely more or less on road transportation to complete the transportation tasks at both ends. For example, the collection and transportation of goods at railway stations, water transport ports, and airports all rely on road transportation. Moreover, from an investment perspective, road construction requires less investment than railway and air transportation

Highway freight transportation has the characteristics of mobility, flexibility, and strong adaptability, and there are various classifications, generally including the following methods:
    1. According to the quality of consignment and packaging method, it can be divided into bulk transportation, less than truckload transportation, and container transportation
    2. According to whether the consigned goods are insured (or valued), they are divided into insured (or valued) transportation and uninsured (or valued) transportation
    3. According to the transportation and storage conditions of goods, they are divided into ordinary goods transportation, special goods transportation, and light foam goods transportation. Ordinary goods transportation is divided into first-class goods transportation (stacking goods with lower value, such as coal, sand, stone, and certain non-metallic ores), second-class goods transportation (general industrial products, agricultural products, and processed mineral products), and third class goods transportation (various high-value industrial products and ordinary fresh goods). Special cargo transportation is divided into four categories: large cargo, dangerous goods, valuable goods, and fresh and perishable goods
    4. According to vehicle ownership, it is divided into self owned vehicle transportation, transportation enterprise vehicle transportation, and individual freight vehicle transportation
    5. Other types of transportation include charter transportation, express transportation, and contract transportation. Fast transportation refers to the transportation of goods that are delivered directly and quickly according to the shipper's requirements. Contract transportation is a form of goods transportation organized by the transportation unit based on the transportation contract signed between the carrier and the consignor. It is divided into long-term, short-term, and temporary contract transportation. The main contents of the transportation contract include the condition of the goods and packaging standards; The origin and destination of the goods; Recipient/shipper and address; Transportation quality and safety requirements; Responsibilities and methods for loading and unloading goods; The handover procedures for goods and the start and end dates of transportation; Calculation standards and settlement methods for transportation and miscellaneous fees; Liability for breach of contract. After the contract is signed, both parties shall fulfill their obligations in accordance with the contract provisions. In the event of a breach of contract, the breaching party shall pay liquidated damages to the other party in accordance with the regulations, and shall compensate for any losses incurred

Logistics management emphasizes the use of systematic methods to solve problems. Modern logistics is generally considered to consist of transportation, storage, packaging, loading and unloading, circulation processing, distribution, and information. Each link originally had its own functions, interests, and concepts. The system approach is to use modern management methods and technologies to share overall information among various links, organizing and managing all links as an integrated system, so that the system can provide competitive customer service at the lowest possible total cost. The system approach holds that the benefits of a system are not simply the sum of the benefits of its various local links. The system approach means that for a certain aspect of a problem that arises, all influencing factors need to be analyzed and evaluated. Starting from this idea, logistics systems do not simply pursue lower costs in each link, because there is a tendency for mutual influence and restraint among the benefits of logistics links, and there is an alternating vulnerability relationship. For example, overemphasizing the conservation of packaging materials may lead to an increase in transportation and handling costs due to their susceptibility to breakage. Therefore, the system approach emphasizes conducting a total cost analysis and avoiding the analysis of suboptimal effects and cost trade-offs in order to achieve a lower total cost while meeting the established level of customer service
